So, hier ist er endlich, der angekündigte Bericht über das Seminar, dass ich vor knapp zwei Wochen besuchen durfte. Wie der Titel dieses Eintrags schon verrät, ging es mal wieder um das Thema Hypnose. Genauer gesagt um das Thema Schnellhypnose, oder Wie hypnotisiere ich einen Menschen in weniger als einer Minute? Klingt spannend, ist es auch.

Dirk Treusch gab es vorab schon eine Vorwarnung, dass der Raum voll wird. Aber dass es 81 Teilnehmer waren, war dann doch beeindruckend. Zum Glück habe ich gleich im Eingang ein bekanntes Gesicht gesehen und war dann nicht ganz so allein in der Menge...
The host and teacher Dirk Treusch warned us in advance that the room would be full. But being one of 81 participants was still impressive. Luckily I spied a familiar face right at the entrance and so wasn't all alone in the crowd...Der einleitende Theorieteil war ansprechend kurz - lang genug, dass auch die Hypnose-Neulinge wissen, worum es geht, ohne sich zu sehr in Details zu versteigern. Schließlich war ja auch die Zielsetzung von Anfang an klar: Es sollte darum gehen, wie man Menschen in Trance bringt. Was man dann mit ihnen anstellt, war sekundär.
The theoretical introduction was appealingly short - long enough to give the hypnosis-newbies an idea that the deal is, without going into too much detail. After all, the point of the workshop was clear from the beginning: It would be about how to get a person into a trance. What to do with him afterwards was secondary.Und nach der Einleitung ging es dann auch gleich los nach dem Motto, dass sich durch das ganze Seminar zog: Zeigen - erklären - ausprobieren. Vorne auf der Bühne wurde eine Hypnosetechnik gezeigt, dann in ihren Einzelheiten erklärt, und dann durften wir sie an uns gegenseitig ausprobieren. Und dabei trat dann genau der Effekt ein, der angekündigt worden war: Dadurch, dass wir so viele Leute waren, hatte man jede Menge Übungspartner zur Verfügung. Und da die Techniken ja - wie der Begriff Schnellhypnose vermuten lässt - nicht allzu lange dauern, konnte man in jeder Übungsphase mit einem halben Dutzend verschiedener Probanden arbeiten. Und sich von einem halben Dutzend verschiedener Hypnotiseure bearbeiten lassen, was fast noch lehrreicher war (zumindest für so zwanghafte Analytiker und Mitdenker wie mich). Und ein Dutzend Mal den Es-funktioniert-wirklich-Kick erleben und sich mit jemandem freuen, der gerade zum ersten Mal in seinem Leben hypnotisiert hat :-)
And after the introduction we got right down to business in the way that would form the whole weekend: Show - explain - practice. On the stage in front the teacher would show a technique for inducing hypnosis, explain it in every detail, and then we got to practice on each other. And there we experienced exactly the effect that had been predicted: Since we were so many people, there were lots of practice partners available. And since the techniques - as the name speed hypnosis implies - don't take very long, we got to work with almost half a dozen subjects per practice session. And we got hypnotised by almost half a dozen hypnotists per session, too, which was just as educational (at least for compulsive analysts and dissecters like me). And experience a dozen times the It-really-works-high and share the joy of someone who just hypnotised for the first time in his life :-)Die Stimmung war entsprechend super und die Zeit ging viel zu schnell rum. Für den ersten Abend war dann - nach einer angemessenen Abendessenspause - extra noch mal eine Übungsphase angesetzt, damit wir uns richtig austoben konnten. Ein super Angebot, das ich auch gerne genutzt hätte. Aber ich war dann leider doch zu müde - hatte nach dem Abendessen mit einer Kollegin auf ihren Wunsch eine Rückführung durchgeführt, die sich als etwas anspruchsvoller herausstellte als gedacht, obwohl wir pünktlich fertig wurden. Aber gut, wenn ich es mir vorher hätte aussuchen können, hätte ich es so gewollt - im Zweifelsfall die Herausforderung :-)
Naturally the atmosphere was great and the time passed far too quickly. Scheduled for the first evening - after a break for dinner - was an extra practice session so we could hypnotise to our hearts's content. A great offer I'd have loved to take. But eventually I was too tired - another student had asked me for a reincarnation session after dinner which turned out a little more challenging than expected, even though we finished in time. But then, if I could have picked one in advance, I'd have chosen this way, too - when in doubt, go for the challenge :-)Am nächsten Tag ging es dann im gleichen Stil weiter, auch wenn die Induktionen choreografisch anspruchsvoller wurden: rechte Hand geben, linke greifen, mit rechts zeigen, drehen, und dabei noch reden - gar nicht so einfach... Und obwohl auch am zweiten Tag bei den Demonstrationen nicht immer alles nach Plan lief (einer von Dirks häufigsten Sätzen: „Das passiert sonst so nicht...“), ging es beim Üben umso besser und die Stimmung war bestens. Und man fand auch immer wieder jemanden, mit dem man noch nicht geübt hatte.
The next day continued the same way even though the choreographies got more interesting: reach with right hand, grab with left, point with right, turn, and don't forget to talk - not quite easy... And even though on the second day, too, the demonstrations didn't always go according to plan (One of Dirk's most frequent comments: "That doesn't usually happen like this..."), the practicing went smoothly and the mood couldn't have been better. And there was always someone else one hadn't practiced with yet.Am Nachmittag gab es dann als Höhepunkt und Abschluss das Hypnosespiel: In kleinen Gruppen und mehreren Runden sollten wir uns gegenseitig hypnotisieren - nach spontanen Vorgaben möglichst schnell. Nach dem Motto: Weniger nachdenken, einfach hypnotisieren. Zugegeben, der zwanghaft perfektionistische Teil in mir fand das Konzept entsetzlich. Spontan kreativ sein, ohne ausführlich zu planen, abzuwägen und jedes Wort auf Hochglanz zu polieren? Macht, wenn man es einfach probiert, jede Menge Spaß. Und ist ja auch nichts anderes als das, was ich sonst bei Rückführungen und solchen Arbeiten mache: Einfach auf die Situation eingehen und darauf vertrauen, dass das, was ich da mehr oder weniger intuitiv von mir gebe, schon irgendwie zielführend ist (Wobei ich hinzufügen muss, dass ich ziemlich gute Vorlagen bekommen habe - auch wenn meine Probandin über das „Diplomarbeits-Massageöl“ erstmal herzlich lachen musste, hat es trotzdem gewirkt...)
In the afternoon there was the highlight and conclusion of the weekend: The hypnosis game. In small groups and several rounds we had to hypnotise each other - with spontanous specifications as quickly as possible. True to the motto: Think less, just hypnotise. I have to admit, the compulsively perfectionist part of me thought the idea was appaling. Spontanous creativity, without in-depth planning and polishing every word? Is, if you just try it, a lot of fun. And anyway, not all that different from what I usually do during reincarnation sessions and similar work: just go along with the situation and trust that the things I say more or less intuitively will be useful in some way (though I have to admit I got really good parameters - even though my subject got a good laugh out of the "diploma thesis massage oil", it still worked beautifully...)Und dann war das Wochenende auch schon vorbei - viel zu schnell, nach einhelliger Meinung. Die meisten von uns wären wohl am liebsten noch bis in die Nacht dort geblieben um zu hypnotisieren und neue Ideen auszuprobieren, so viel Spaß hatten wir an der Sache. Alles in allem ein spannendes und lehrreiches Seminar, das meine Hypnose-Begeisterung weiter gefüttert hat. Und wer weiß, vielleicht folge ich ja demnächst mal

And then the weekend was already over - far too quickly in our agreed opinion. We had so much fun that most of us would have loved to stay into the night to hypnotise and try out new ideas. On the whole it was a fun and interesting workshop that once again fed my enthusiasm for hypnosis. And who knows, one of these days I might follow Dirk's example and go to the shopping mile to hypnotise...
