Tja. Eigentlich hatte ich vor, dieses Jahr mindestens ein Paar Socken pro Monat zu stricken. Als Weihnachtsgeschenke und für mich und überhaupt. Wo sind sie geblieben?

Well. I had intended to knit at least one pair of socks every month this year. For Christmas, for me, and so on. Where are they?

Wahrscheinlich irgendwo in den fünf bis sechs Stunden, die mir jeden Tag fehlen, um all das auf die Reihe zu kriegen, was ich gerne machen möchte. Das Problem kenne ich ja. Aber es scheint mir, als ob es in den letzten paar Monaten immer extremer wird. Irgendeine Verzerrung im Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum oder so.

Probably lost somewhere in the five to six ours I'm lacking every day to get everything done that I want to get done. I know the problem. But it seems to me that in the past few months it's gotten more extreme. Must be one of these distortions in the space-time-continuum.

Also werde ich mein Ziel neu formulieren: Ich möchte mindestens ein Paar Socken pro Halbjahr stricken. Das klingt doch vernünftig. Und ist sogar machbar, denn aus diesem:

Und wer eben nachgerechnet hat und zu dem Ergebnis kommt, dass Januar - April nur vier Monate sind und darum doch eigentlich drei Paar in das Jahr passen würden, der sollte berücksichtigen, dass ich das Paar auch schon letzten November angefangen habe. Sechs Monate. Für ein Paar Socken. Ich hoffe, meine Sockennadeln schmelzen nicht bei dem Höllentempo...

And in case anyone has checked my math and come to the conclusion that January - April is only four months and thus the year should be good for three pairs - I've neglected to mention that I started the pair in November. Six months. For a pair of socks. Let's hope my sock needles don't melt at this speed...

Und um nicht mit dieser depressiven Note zu enden: Die Socken selbst finde ich total schön und sie passen wunderbar :-)
